If you’re visiting Costa Rica for you next vacation, this article is for you. Just a few pointer to keep in mind to be sure you won’t have any surprises entering the country.
- The amount of days you may stay in Costa Rica as a tourist may change depending on your country of origin (usually 90 days).
- An immigration officer may request proof of economic solvency for your stay (very rare).
- Visitors to Costa Rica must have a valid passport as well as proof of their intent to exit the country (e.g. return ticket).
- Starting on 2007, all travelers coming from the following countries must possess a yellow fever vaccination certificate before entry into Costa Rica. Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Bolivia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador and the Republic of Guyana.
